When Whitetail Rut

Hunting for whitetail in Texas often consists of hunting for a few hours in the morning and then going back out in the evening to catch deer when they are moving and feeding. But if there is one time of year when you really need to spend as much time in the stand as you can, it’s during the rut. Those mature bucks either have a doe or are out looking for one. This is such an exciting time to hunt because that deer of a lifetime can just appear out of thin air at any time of day. It takes patience and persistence, but if you spend enough time in the stand during the rut, you’ve got a better chance of being rewarded with a great buck. You just never know what you might see! I hope it is a good year for all you hunters!
