It's Hot But Shallow Might Play


Even though it is scorching hot in Texas still, temperatures pushing into triple digits daily, bass will sometimes start moving shallow. It really has nothing to do with cooler temperatures. Instead, water quality out deep starts to get worse, which pushes those fish in. Some people say the lakes are “turning over.” I’m not really sure what happens or what it’s called, but I do know that bass will sometimes start to move shallow in the early Fall even when it’s still really hot.
